Dana Lamb-Schaubroeck is an award-winning fine arts educator, Billboard Top Ten Songwriter, and published author. SATB: The Musical is her first "
full-length musical for adults.

Dana started writing SATB: The Musical because she has been a church musician for over 35 years. She noticed that whether she was serving a church in the northeast or southeast, small or large, there seemed to be a similar cast of characters. In addition, no matter what the specific individual stories were, the sum of a group of people is often stronger than its individual parts.

Dana started writing SATB: The Musical as a way to combat insomnia. At the time, she owned a thriving performing arts school and theater. The musical was chosen for the 2020 Atlanta Musical Theatre Festival, but the festival was put on hold due to COVID-19 pandemic and shutdown. During those two years, Dana continued to refine the work and the show finally debuted to enthusiastic crowds in September 2022. After numerous opportunities to have the show reviewed across the country, the show is now ready for licensing.

The purpose of releasing this at this flat $599 rate is to give community theaters an opportunity to have a one-price-fits-all license that will grant the theater the opportunity to perform the show as often as they wish during their season through February 28, 2025 that is not calculated based on number of seats. Because she was a theater owner during the pandemic, she recognizes that theaters need quality shows to produce as well as an opportunity to help recover some of the losses from 2020 and 2021 that are still injuring the theater community.

This show was written in a way that it can be produced in a simple black box or creatively expanded to a full-production show to a multi-hundred seat audience. The show focuses on quality storytelling and music with an ensemble of nine actors and no choreography or dance required. The license includes the right to perform the show, digital copies of the script, score and backing tracks, and production resources. Depending on the circumstances, the writer is also available to attend shows, provide talk back or meet the cast, either live or digitally.
